BLACKPINK have made history with their sophomore album Born Pink in both The United States and United Kingdom. The album was finally released on September 16th and climbed charts all across the globe, solidifying the hype of the four piece girl group.

If there was ever a case of ‘Numbers don’t lie’ to be true, it would be this one as the group have become the first K-Pop girl group in history to reach number one on both the US and UK album charts!

In America’s case, the only K-Pop groups to have reached this milestone were all male (BTS, Super M and Stray Kids), so this is indeed a special occasion. Even further, of the 102,000 equivalent units reported for the album, 75,000 were pure purchases. (the rest being made up of streams) and half of those sales were CD, giving the industry an insight into just how loyal the fan base is.

So a super congratulations to BLACKPINK and we look forward to seeing what comes next, you can view the video for Pink Venom below, which stayed at the top of our chart for four weeks in a row!
