19 year old Camila Cabello dramatically parted ways with Fifth Harmony this week, and blame is being fired in many directions.
It seems jealousy could be the cause as even while competing on The X-Factor USA, Demi Lovato singled out Cabello as the stand-out member of the group.
Now four years later Camila appears to be at odds with her former bandmates on the exact details of her exit; she claimed she was ‘shocked’ at the statement her bandmates issued about her departure.
The Work From Home hitmakers released a statement about Camila’s exit, claiming they tried to arrange countless meetings to tempt her to stay and even set up a group counselling session she didn’t attend.
In a message posted on their Instagram account, they wrote: ‘We know you are hurt and confused, we are too. We know you want answers.
‘And you deserve them, as you are just as much a part of this group as the four of us are.
The group concluded their statement by confirming they will continue to make music for their Harmonizers – and wished Camila the best.
Camila herself thrn shared her solo plans saying: ‘Next year I will be working on my own music and giving you a big chunk of my heart. To our amazing fans, I will always be so thankful for the opportunities being in this group has given to me.
It remains to be seen where the band goes from here, but Fifth Harmony’s only scheduled date is a performance at the AT&T Centre in San Antonio, Texas on February 20.
