The 2022 BET Awards went down on Sunday night and the big winners surprised viewers globally!

Diddy was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award and was joined on stage (virtually and in-person) by a vast array of past winners including a heartfelt induction speech by Ye (formerly known as Kanye West).

Doja was the night’s leading nominee (6) followed by Drake (4) and Ari Lennox (4) but they all went home empty-handed!

Fresh off their Grammy wins, Silk Sonic took home the coveted Album of The Year for An Evening With Silk Sonic, as well as the Best Group for the second consecutive year. Kendrick Lamar raked in his record-breaking 5th Best Male Hip-Hop Artist as well as a nod for Video of the Year with his cousin Baby Keem for their collab ‘Family Ties’.

There were a few first-time winners including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist (Jazmine Sullivan), Best Male R&B/Pop Artist (The Weeknd), and Best Actress (Zendaya).
