Asia Pop40 (AP40) is the first regional weekly chart countdown radio produced in Asia, specifically for Asian radio. AP40 is produced in two languages - English and Mandarin - and is aired twice weekly in over 70+ markets across the Asia-Pacific region.
Each week, Asia Pop40 counts down the most popular songs across Asia, combining regional music data to produce a pan-Asian regional radio programme. Each episode features the latest artist interviews and additional curated segments, including the latest BuzzzTracks from emerging artists and Hit Predictions from popular, marquee acts!
The show is currently hosted by Joey Chou and Daisy Wang for the English broadcast and Max Lim for the Mandarin broadcast. Asia Pop40 has an international presence with recording studios in Taiwan, Los Angeles and Kuala Lumpur.
Asia Pop40 has graced the airwaves since July 5th, 2013 and has aired over 500 episodes globally.

I was born in Taipei during an era that saw the rise of great Taiwanese Mandopop artists like Jay Chou, Jolin Tsai, A-Mei and David Tao. When the family moved to Vancouver, I was introduced to Canadian legends such as Bryan Adams, Alanis Morissette, The Tragically Hip and…Nickelback, I guess?
My eclectic musical upbringing, coupled with more than a decade of tenure as a disc jockey and voice actor at Taiwan’s only all-english radio station I.C.R.T, set me on the fateful path of becoming the host of Asia Pop 40 in 2019.
It has been a joyous few years sharing great music and conversations with listeners around the world, and I hope for many more because, to quote Leonard Nimoy, "the more we share the more we have."

I’ve been a music & entertainment radio show announcer for the past 18 years - basically, I’ve been hiding behind a studio microphone and pretending to speak to someone since 2004. Occasionally, I get to talk to celebrities from all over the world, so when someone asks, I will have proof that I’m NOT an AI (I swear I’m a real person).
I’m currently the host of the Mandarin broadcast of Asia Pop40, which is great because I spend much of the time listening to my favourite artists – OneRepublic, Ed Sheeran, Tanya Chua, Taylor Swift, and Charlie Puth to name a few. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon!
I’ve also provided my voice to some amazing brands based around the world from Australia to America. Some days, I’m pretty jealous of my own voice because it gets to travel to more places than I do!
Life is short, therefore I am inspired to live an extraordinary life. I look forward to experiencing and sharing more amazing things with you in the future, both professionally and personally.
